Search Engine Optimization
Recently many web search engines and directories have started sharing results. For instance, a search engine may have its own database to draw from and then rely on one or more other search engines for additional results. They may also provide their database to yet other search engines.
Since the vast majority of web users visit several different search engines or directories, it is necessary that your site be listed in as many of them as possible. The amount of time between registration and your site actually appearing in the search engines can vary from two weeks to several months. Every search engine and directory has their own requirements.
